The Jauntee Winter Tour 2017 Dates Announced
Published January 11, 2017
The tour consists of a number of returning and new markets from Virginia to
Colorado. Some of these include Cervantes in Denver, Hodi’s Half Note in Fort Collins, The
Mousetrap in Indianapolis, Martyr’s in Chicago, and many more. Cycles will join the band for
a number of stops and will also feature appearances with acts such as Turkuaz and Jahman
Brahman. The Jauntee have experienced strong exponential growth over the last year and
there seems to be no slowing down in sight.
Hailing from Boston, The Jauntee have solidified a dedicated following, playing staple
venues in the Northeast, several New England festivals, including Catskill Chill,
StrangeCreek, and Disc Jam, as well as extensively touring down the East coast and across
the Midwest, giving them nationwide recognition, with sold out shows as far West as
Colorado. A focus on live improvisation, setlist variety, and musical exploration makes every
show different from the last, truly making The Jauntee a live act to see again and again.
Drawing influence from a wide variety of acts, The Jauntee’s improvisational landscape
spans multiple genres, including funk, rock, jazz, progressive, bluegrass, psychedelic and
ambient music. Their willingness to explore genres, abandon all song structure, and dive
into ‘the weird’ sets them apart from your average upcoming jam band. They aim to push
the boundaries of improvisation, embrace the moment and engage the audience. With a
quickly growing loyal fanbase, an ever-expanding song catalog and an inclination for open
ended improvisation, every show promises to be a unique experience.
