Listen To The New Reed Mathis & Electric Beethoven Live Album

In a follow up to their 2016 debut album, Beathoven, Reed Mathis & Electric Beethoven have just dropped their first live album, Maps We Found in the Ground. A take on classic Beethoven arrangements with a contemporary twist, or as Mathis likes to describe it, “classical dance music,” this project has been taking on a life force of it’s own, fans warmly responding in kind.

The band as it consists now is made up of Mathis on bass, Jay Lane on drums, Todd Stoops on keys and Clay Welch on guitar. Though the four-piece has only a pair of gigs lined up currently, both post-Phish late night shows at A Bear’s Picnic (8/4) and American Beauty in New York City (8/6), be on the lookout for Electric Beethoven in the following weeks and months, as this is surely not a band you want to miss in the live setting.
