Phish Kicks Off New Year’s Run At Madison Square Garden
Phish kicked off their New Year’s run at Madison Square Garden last night. The band’s four night stand at Madison Square Garden will leave their total number of shows played at the historic venue in 2017 at seventeen, following the band’s thirteen night Baker’s Dozen run this summer.
Keyboardist Page McConnell emerged as all-star of the evening, delivering some amazing textures and grooves with his synths, keyboards, and pianos. Guitarist Trey Anastasio delivered a noticeably new guitar tone due to his rig overhaul by Custom Audio Electronics. Anastasio debuted the new system and tone at Warren Haynes’ Christman Jam earlier this month.
If you can’t make it to New York City for the shows you can tune in live via LivePhish.com.
